FAQ
Questions founders ask.
Business Performance Architecture is a practical system that connects strategy, financial insight, KPIs and accountability. It picks the few metrics that drive your business, gives each one a named owner, and shows leadership what is happening and what is likely to happen next.
Key Metrix helps founder-led companies cut through data noise. We identify the few metrics that drive results, assign clear ownership, and build a lightweight performance system around them, so decisions are made on numbers everyone trusts.
Key Metrix is for founder-led companies that have outgrown early-stage chaos. Typically they have passed around 15 people, with revenue in the £2M–£20M range. The data is there, but leadership no longer agrees on what it means. We start with UK businesses, often in B2B SaaS.
No. Key Metrix doesn’t do bookkeeping, accounting or general finance outsourcing. Salta’s finance background gives the method its rigour, but the work is about performance: which numbers matter, who owns them, and what action they should drive.
Past roughly 15 people, targets, reporting and incentives often haven’t been redesigned for the company’s new size. Sales, finance and delivery each optimise their own numbers, and those numbers can conflict. Leadership ends up with more data but less confidence in it.
A dashboard shows numbers. It doesn’t decide which ones matter or who is accountable for them. We start with that decision: the few metrics, clear definitions and named owners. The dashboard comes after, as a view of a system that already works.
We look at what actually drives your outcomes, then cut everything else back to a short list. Each metric gets a clear definition and an owner. The test is simple: if a number doesn’t change a decision or an action, it doesn’t belong on the list.
If nobody owns a number, nobody is accountable for changing it. A named owner turns a shared target into someone’s job. It also ends the argument about whose version of the number is right, because there is one definition and one person responsible.
Scenario modelling tests what-if questions before you commit, such as a hire, a price change or slower sales. Cash visibility shows where your cash position is heading. Together they let you plan profit and cash instead of discovering them at month-end.
A Clarity Call is a free 30-minute conversation with no obligation. We explore where visibility, ownership or financial insight could be holding your business back, and identify a practical place to start. You leave with a clearer view of what needs attention next.
You need usable underlying data, but it doesn’t need to be perfect. Most growing companies already have it in tools like Xero, HubSpot, Stripe or Excel. On the call we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s ready to build on. We don’t offer data cleaning as a standalone service.
Key Metrix was founded by Salta Iskakova, who has 17+ years in finance and performance roles at GE, Baker Hughes and BHGE. She is ACCA-qualified and holds an MBA. She built Key Metrix to bring that discipline to founder-led companies without the bureaucracy of a large enterprise.
